The NEFLIN member in this month’s spotlight is Tim Keller, facilitator of the NEFLIN Technical Services Interest Group.

Hailing from southeast Ohio, Tim Keller is the Head of Cataloging and Metadata at Hunt Library, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach.

Tim has been working in academic libraries since 2007, first as a graduate student and Map Library cataloger, then a Music Library cataloger, and finally University Cataloger, before becoming Head of Cataloging and Metadata and has earned a Masters of Library and Information Science and a MS in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management from Kent State University.

Prior to moving to Florida, Tim was an active member of the Ohio Private Academic Libraries consortium and served and co-chair and chair of the Cataloging Committee and has led webinar classes on RDA cataloging for A/V materials, serials and continuing resources, and an introduction to BIBFRAME.
Tim’s professional interests include changes and developments in cataloging and metadata, authority control, linked data and BIBFRAME, user experience design for technical services and librarians, and social media.
