Required Image Standards:
Image size:
Images should be at least 1500 pixels wide. Larger is even better. This helps ensure the image looks crisp on both screens and in print.

File size:
Submit images that are at least 1 MB in file size. Files smaller than this are usually too compressed and may appear blurry or pixelated.

File format:
Accepted formats include .JPG, .PNG, or .TIFF. Please do not embed images inside Word documents or PDFs.

Clarity and lighting:
Photos must be in focus, well-lit, and free from heavy filters or compression. Avoid dark, grainy, or low-resolution images.

Image rights:
Only submit images that you have taken yourself or have permission to use. If using Creative Commons or stock photography, include proper attribution and source.

Caption and credit:
Each image should include a short caption and a photo credit. Example: “Library staff setting up the community display. Photo by Jane Doe.”

NEFLIN Right to Refuse:

NEFLIN reserves the right to decline any submission that does not align with our editorial standards, submission guidelines, or the publication’s mission. This includes but is not limited to, submissions that contain inappropriate content, do not meet quality expectations, or fail to follow the required guidelines. Decisions regarding acceptance of submissions are final and at the editorial board’s and NEFLIN staff’s discretion.
