Adobe PDF
In 1991, Adobe set out to create the “paper-to-digital” revolution. PDF is an acronym for “Portable Document Format.” It’s a file format used to present and exchange documents reliably, independent of software, hardware, or operating system. PDF is now an open standard maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). https://www.jotform.com/what-is-pdf/
PDF stands for “Portable Document Format“. Basically, the format is used when you need to save files that cannot be modified but still need to be easily shared and printed. PDFs are normally used for read-only documents and commonly used for documents like user manuals, eBooks, application forms, and scanned documents.
Developed by Adobe, it enables users to capture the native appearance of a document. It’s popularity rose primarily because the PDF reader was made free by Adobe, and then that made a windows document or a web page or a scanned image to pdf extremely easy.
This tutorial will cover the basics of PDFs.
